UpNurses ("we", "our", or "us") operates the UpNurses platform — a directory of nursing colleges in Uttar Pradesh. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our platform, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information — name, email address, and role (candidate, college representative, or recruiter) when you register.
  • Profile information — additional details you voluntarily add to your candidate or college profile, such as bio, qualifications, photos, and contact details.
  • Authentication data — credentials managed securely via Supabase Auth. If you sign in with Google, we receive only your name and email from Google.
  • Usage data — pages visited, search queries, and interactions with the platform, collected to improve the service.
  • Device and technical data — IP address, browser type, and referring URL, collected automatically with each request.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To display your profile to other users as appropriate to your role.
  • To send transactional emails such as email verification and password reset links.
  • To detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity.
  • To improve platform features and fix technical issues.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers — Supabase (database and authentication), Google (reCAPTCHA and OAuth), and hosting infrastructure. These providers process data only as necessary to deliver their services.
  • Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or government authority.
  • Business transfer — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain your authenticated session. Google reCAPTCHA may set additional cookies to assess bot risk. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from staying logged in.

6. Third-Party Services

  • Google reCAPTCHA v3 — used on sign-in and sign-up forms to protect against bots. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google for analysis. Google's use of this data is governed by its Privacy Policy.
  • Google OAuth — if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We do not have access to your Google password.
  • Supabase — our backend platform for authentication and database storage. Data is stored on servers in the region configured for our Supabase project.

7. Data Security

We employ industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and row-level security on our database. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
